Segezha Group is one of the largest lumber products producers in the world with a total leased forest area of 16.1 million hectares. Among the company’s priorities is keeping the reputation of an environmentally and socially aware forestry company, as well as contributing to the fight against climate change by providing environmentally friendly products. The company pays extra attention to forest fire prevention and fighting. In 2022, for instance, employees from six of the Segezha Group’s subsidiaries in Eastern Siberia participated in fighting 34 wildfires that covered an area of 11.000 ha. Forest fire problem is an accute issue for many regions of Russia, the country with the largest forest area in the world. The most pressing issue, however, is what causes the wildfires. According to the Russian Ministry of Civil Defence, Emergencies and Disaster Relief, as well as numerous international independent organisations, 90% of wildfires are caused by unintentional and deliberate actions of humans. That is why Segezha Group executed a campaign aimed preventing forest fires and raising society's awareness. It was a joint campaign with a famous Siberian artist Victor Kaplun. For that, Victor created paintings that reflected his thoughts about wildfires and highlighted different aspects of the problem. Campaign objectives, description, and its results can be found in the presentation
