Insomnia is a non-profit festival dedicated to author’s animation from all over the world. It is held in the Kaluga region, with the help of enthusiasts who adore animation. The festival takes place in a huge meadow located at the bend of the Ressa River. Starting at 6 or 7 in the evening, the fog descends on the area and stays till dawn. And every night, you can immerse yourself into cartoons, shown on two large screens. This gives you a feeling of fantastic, and even supernatural, atmosphere. Almost everyone attending the festival compares it to the famous cartoon “Hedgehog in the Fog”. To involve in the Insomnia visitors with our world even more, we created a game with cards. Each visitor received 8 cards at the reception. Additional cards could be obtained at different festival locations (which were which were anintrigue), or by exchanging with other participants. This idea was immensely successful. The card sets (along with all the merchandise and handout materials) were sold out the next day. Twelve thousand people attended the festival. The Dotorg team could not miss it. We wandered in the fog, swam in a thunderstorm, sunbathed in the sun. It was magical!
